Sometimes, the smallest things take up the most room in your heart. Those first few weeks of your baby’s life pass by in a blur, and you will never have those precious moments again. A newborn portrait session is the perfect way to capture the sweet innocence, delicate features, and angelic expressions that fill your heart with joy. A newborn marks a fresh chapter in the life of a family. Preserving this special time with artistic newborn photography is truly an act of love.
SCHEDULING
It’s never too early to book! Timing is everything when it comes to newborn photography. For a newborn baby photo session I like to try and get the babies into my studio before they are two weeks of age. When we are looking to obtain those sleepy, posed shots the younger the baby the better. A baby that is fresh and new is much more likely to provide me with a deep sleep allowing me to work with their tiny bodies to achieve those adorable shots. They are also very flexible at this age and quite enjoy being curled up and cozy while asleep just as they were in mommy’s belly. I understand that these first few weeks are unpredictable, so I welcome babies up to 4 weeks old for newborn sessions. Keep in mind that once beyond those first days we will not be able to get the sleepy, curled poses. If you are sure you want specific poses, please ask about those during your consultation.
I only book a limited number of newborn sessions per month to ensure availability around your due date. I offer sessions on weekday mornings, when babies are at their sleepiest.

Once you have decided that we are a good match, we will schedule a consultation over Zoom to discuss your ideas on style, colors, props and wardrobe. We will also review the detailed pricing information and how the images can complement your home decor. This will help us have a relaxed photo session.
Wardrobe
Our wardrobe consists of 100% organic materials. Our fabrics and accessories are gentle on your baby's skin. All of our items are washed in organic detergents that are free of harsh chemicals.
A beautiful collection of silk draping, form-fitting dresses, bodysuits, lace robes, gowns and accessories are provided for mama at no additional cost!
Session expirience
My passion for newborn portraits is the create a simple, timeless look without the use of overpowering props or unnatural posing. Once your session is booked, I will send you a Newborn Preparation Guide with plenty of tips on how to prepare for your baby’s first photo session.
SELECTING YOUR PORTRAITS
Right after the photoshoot we will view your proofing gallery on a big screen and you will select your favorite portraits for retouching. If you prefer to do it later, we can schedule in-person or Zoom reveal within a week after your session has taken place.
RETOUCHING
Your portrait session is only the beginning of creating your custom artwork. Each image is carefully and tastefully edited into a unique work of art. Artistic photo retouching is included in your session. I specialize in the most comprehensive and detailed editing. While I focus on creating a natural look I will edit your photos to your liking. I want you to treasure your final portraits.
